Our Advice is to Avoid Steam Cleaning or (Dry) ‘Shampooing’
Steam (from boiling water) is not recommended for cleaning furniture: it can damage not just the look but also the durability – permanently. Nor is ‘dry’ shampooing, because the ever so slightly tacky finish that remains on cloth fibres attracts dust faster. We usually advise hot water extraction.

We prefer to use 100% eco-friendly pressure and/or power washing without chemicals to ‘leave no trace’. Cold water jets and bristle brushing (with a machine) is usually enough, but some jobs require either steam or plant-killing liquids. Unless you have good sewer drainage and no plants in the vicinity we’d recommend using steam.
After cleaning, we can also seal bricks, tiles and concrete against oil, grease and dirt. We also offer colour staining and sealing to preserve wood.
